Ps 27 9 Do not hide your face from me,
do not turn your servant away in anger;
you have been my helper.
Do not reject me or forsake me,
O God my Savior.
The Psalmist is teaching that we are related to God by the creation covenant. God has created every thing and orders all things in order to save His elect. The only anger that God displays is towards those who are not part of His kingdom.God has adopted us into His family with the security of a Father who orders all things for our good and His glory. Gods anger is display in the cursing of the wicked.
In Psalm 4 he is teaching Gods elect how to deal with their anger. Our anger is like Gods anger. Just as God created and orders all things for our good so we too react with anger when the wicked redefine Gods law and make idols out of Gods creation. They over turn the purpose of God giving us pleasure in ruling over the created things making them evil by re-imaging these created things so that they put people in bondage.
You see when man sinned God curse the creation. The curse spoke law eternal condemnation law breakers. The curse was the instrument by which God showed His eternal anger. God killed the opposition to His kingdom by cursing the creation. The only hope of reestablishing the relationship with God was through slaughter and death. God gave His elect a sacrifice as an instrument to avenge the wicked who resurrect the power of death by giving powers to the created things to show anger toward God and His children.
In your anger slaughter the sacrifice. We must use the law to silence the opposition. We cannot build a pragmatic system of threats and violence. Because vengeance belongs to God alone!
The Psalmist deals with anger by cursing the wicked. Without the curse we are all in danger of destroying the entire human race. Everything that we have is given to us by God according to His own goodness. So the Psalm complains about his troubles in the context of Gods Fatherly care as the entire creation is Gods house. He is saying that Gods anger is the display of His law that is evidenced in the order of creation and the protect of His elect in working the order for their good. You see Gods law is not an instrument of measuring powers.Gods law is perfect and absolutely just at all times. It is the instrument of cursing and blessing. When we face trials in this life it is because we are surrounding by the creation in which Gods curse is present in the work of the law. So the Psalmist is always complaining to God when he is facing the destructive force of the curse as the consequences of the law as the instrument to judge the world. .

Ps 69 6 May those who hope in you not be disgraced because of me, O Lord, the LORD Almighty; may those who seek you not be put to shame because of me, O God of Israel. "
The Psalmist teaches that the desires of the righteous are given to them in salvation. The new desires are reflexive. He says ..My heart says, Seek His face, Your face Lord I will seek. We must understand that these gifted desires are Gods attributes of creation. God spoke and it came to be. These gifts are Gods implanted law. When we were in a hostile relationship with God having been born in sin, the law was an accuser. We must understand that all of Gods attributes describe the kind of work that He accomplished in creation. So all the reality of the work of creation is a description of the standard of the law. The law then includes the curses, covenants, statutes, decrees, promises, and the law given at Sinai. So the Psalmist describes the inner struggles as a result of the circumstances of life as desire, longing, seeking and meditating. The law in scripture is always the holistic work of God in governing the creation through the curses, covenants etc.
The activity of the soul of man is the visual proof of Gods order as the governor of creation. God is the only being who can view the creation as it exist. He is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient . All reality come from the words of God. Because God is omni He is the only one who knows all the details in the creation of all things. In this sense all men are created to glorify God by acting under the compulsion of Gods desires. But because of sin they are reduced to frustration of not doing what they know. This frustration is described by the Psalmist in longings.
These longings cannot be fulfilled in the wicked. But because the righteous are given the new man the longings are fulfilled. The longings of the righteous create the realignment of the soul. The soul of man is blessed when the mind, desire and action are united. The longings of the righteous are communicated in pronouncements. These pronouncements create the foundation of blessing and success. The soul is realigned through the pronouncements. The longings are trained by pronouncing the law, covenants, statutes etc.This training is described by the Psalmist as the reflexive voice. My soul says seek His face.
The longings are given to address the state of the soul in all of the experiences of life. When the elect go through trials they experience the voice of the curse. Gods elect were given the pronouncements in order to overcome all opposition. The Apostle states that God will deliver him from all opposition.
When we are saved the law is no longer our great accuser. We are filled with the fullness of God. This means that we no longer face a destructive attribute that controls us. But now we control the world through the pronouncements. The Psalmist says that the law is our friend. The law has become the instrument of advocacy that is used by the Holy Spirit to bring us blessing. May your good Spirit lead me on level ground. For your name sake, preserve my life, in your righteousness bring me out of trouble, in your unfailing love silence my enemies, destroy all of my foes , for I am your servant. So God has given both positive and negative pronouncements in order to defend the soul. We use the law, covenants, statutes, curses, decrees, and promises in all of the different experiences of life.
