Ps 12 1 Help, LORD , for the godly are no more;
the faithful have vanished from among men.
2 Everyone lies to his neighbor;
their flattering lips speak with deception."
God has established His law in creation. Gods order and symmetry that provides the success of His eternal government is the law that orders everything that relates to everything else. We can simplify this by saying that every man understands governing. Every society is defined by self government. If each man could act according to the law of God that is implanted in his heart then he is related to others in a national government.
But when sin entered man began to redefine Gods law. 2Everyone lies to his neighbor;" When man changes the law he creates violence and destruction. 5 "Because of the oppression of the weak" But God does not view the governments of this world in a pragmatic way. At all times God pronounces judgement upon the wicked who oppress by illegal language and creations.5b I will now arise," says the LORD.3 May the LORD cut off all flattering lips " " cut off" is sending them outside the city for judgement.
The Psalmist is describing the law of God as an instrument of purity. If you can think of it like this. You heat gold and as it becomes liquid the impurities come to the top. This is comparing the perfect judgement of Gods word that purifies the city of the wicked. What the Psalmist is saying that Gods curses are yea and amen.
Its pictured like this. The Psalmist is petitioning God to reorder every scheme that has ever been devised. In other words Gods word purifies all of the schemes of man that create the deception that is in the culture as a result of the redefining of Gods word from all generations. The Psalmist is saying that when he pronounces the Psalms as the law , decrees, statutes, curses, covenants and promises he is opposing that communication that has in its force and illegality as potential of destroying that city. This process of meditation is the heat of the word separating the impurities or schemes for judgement."5 I will protect them from those who malign them."6 And the words of the LORD are flawless,
like silver refined in a furnace of clay,
purified seven times.
There is no one who believes something that he will not die for. Because knowledge cannot be pragmatic. Although there are pragmatic ideas in the world, it only exist because there remains ignorance due to the human inability to know all things. But this mixture of knowledge and mystery in ones view is predetermined by God. We can only escape what is harmful to us through revelation or illumination. So the defense of truth is more than just based upon our confidence that we know the truth. Whatever knowledge we have always rises up to the level of life and death. The bible is all that we need to live a life of Godliness. This means that the revealed knowledge is a shorten version of all the knowledge of God. In other words both the shortened version and the exhaustive version are going in the same direction. There is no such thing as two equal lines of truth. We have enough revealed knowledge to escape death and embrace life. But what we believe is always under the obligation of our survival in this world. We receive life or death by our doctrinal description. This is what the bible means when it makes a distinction between the righteous curse and the wicked curse. The bible teaches that if we belong to Christ we receive every pure description or doctrine as if it is defining the kingdom that we belong to. Even tho we are ignorant at some point yet the principle of Gods kingdom is that if we understand the smallest truth we understand the whole truth. Because the Spirit of one word contains all Gods ideas. We are able to be ignorant but fully able to express Gods curse to its fullest. And we are able to receive Gods absolute blessing. We must understand that a person believes truth about themselves in which the blindness that their ignorance represents is the inability for them to embrace life. And for us the ignorance represent our inability to embrace the curse.

Gods Love

Gods love is more than just a love that is compared to all that we have been loved. I do not think that Gods love to us is the same at any time. This is why i think that God has a love of attraction. In this since Gods love has more than a speaking quality... as i love you... but Gods love is displayed to us in answering the quality that we have that we do not understand what it is that makes us so unlovely but He is that person whos presence defines what we cannot quite perceive how that love could be presented to us in order that it would be all the love that presents us as loved but also presents us as more lovely to Him than we could imagine ourselves to be. He fills us with the fullness of His love.

I do not know if we could understand love unless we were pleased to find the object that loves us as love itself. God is love... and if we are pleased with being loved then we are being full of pleasure of being in God!!In this sense we are drawn away from the lesser quality of love because just like the flow of Divine otherness comes from the source that is far beyond what we experience in relation to this worlds otherness ...i really do not know if we could have a self love that is greater than our own limitations unless we are as close to the object of love as seeing and experiencing love in its most highest and most excellent way. If we want to be loved by God i do not see any way out of it being all consuming.

Logical Modalism

In the climate we have in our society today there is an indirect mythology that is developed by having a sense of desperation due to the high levels of depravity. Now then living as if there are easy answers can give this mythology of success its life flow. I do believe in balance , not only in the sense of seeing these different faculties of the soul and how we develop a healthy paradigm, but i can see were this same inward reality can be like a working balance in these social norms. In other words it is incumbent on us to not over react out of a fear of finding ourselves under the burdens of a society of these supposed addictions. On the one hand we have a very disciplined view of life in which we focus on creating a culture where everyone has a behavior that finds its healthiness in these shared activities that are ordered, and on the other hand we have the personal liberties , that is a world in which we develop our identity in our individual likes and dislikes. This view is what makes us to come to a situation with an undefined method, or trying to be original in finding a solution to these different problems that present themselves as we live our lives. If we keep our view about these two extremes then i believe we will develop a healthy balance between the desire to have new information, the ability to measure reality in a more balanced way and the avoidance of the temptation to see only our particular system of morals as better than the next guys.

The one thing we do not want to do is to work ourselves into a very narrow model for free thinking and free expression. I mean in the sense of developing a healthy view of having common sense as it relates to our reasoning in these different situations. I think the revelation of God has this component of wisdom that gives us a wide variety of views to our understanding in order to have a general peaceful balanced life. This is that we should avoid at all cost being molded by this present system of the world. And it is very much of a strong temptation to divide our systems of healing and our ability to reason in the world of intuitive originality that we have this ongoing battle. The world has become a place where there is a remedy for every problem we face, a place were we are learning to develop our ideas through the process of systems and finding answers with a limited knowledge of the scope of history and the application of many facets of truth to a particular method.

The world is a rough ocean

Ive got to respond here. Maybe i can offer some insight into just how it has come to this point where we have lost control of our own financial direction. I believe in free markets. I believe that if you put any financial system up against free markets then you are going to lose. The problems that we have had in this country stem from a continued increase in the federal budget even tho the taxes were not as high as they used to be, well not when you add up all the different taxes, those hidden ones as well. But for ten or so yrs it has been cheaper to do business outside this country. Now the reason is because of the size of the federal budget. The only reason business has done this is because they are interested in making profits. Theres no difference in how business was conducted in the soviet union. Any time you create an environment that is anti business , that is you eat into their profits then your going to have a big deficit. And the truth is that we have failed to create that environment in this country. Shoot it was cheaper to buy gas in Russia , and that was a big factor in slowing our markets down.

So that since we have been so unfriendly to business all of these yrs, we have had a big trade deficit. Our dollars were going outside the country. And since free markets are gummed up with over regulation and no incentives then plus a bulging federal government, shoot the department of education exploded under Bush. Well then we are now beholden to these foreign countries who have been subsidizing our debt cause we cant compete with the world cause we are just like socialist. Look its very simple, get out of the way of business, cut the federal government. Get rid of the department of education, that teaches people to like expanded government. And get back to bringing business into this country. Just like we did to Russia that is we subsidized Russia, then under Reagan we stopped and we brought them to their knees. Thats what is happening to our socialist country rite now. Ok i blown off some steam.

A world turned upside down

I give you a personal testimony here. I believe that the bible offers us a blue print for the way we are to conduct ourselves , that is the way the world is to function in order for there to be the ultimate expression of freedom to ones neighbors, to ones treatment of all the things in his environment. I am saying this because man was given a glorious dispensation to rule over creation. The earth was made for man, but God rules the air and the heavens. The cross is how we experience this freedom to love that was extended to us as an example and to us as the ruling effect in us in acting toward one another in society. This world view is not without certain order in Gods divine election. I mean there is a great mystery that precedes this Utopian order. Every man desires to have perfect authority over creation. This is what God puts in the heart of man as man has a restless heart until His longing for eternal things is satisfied. So that the lack of this divine order frustrates the peaceful rule of Gods design for man.

One of the reasons i moved my family to the country was so that i could find an expression of this order. Its funny to me to be in a society where there are people who are always focused on the doing part and yet at the same time their teaching offers a blue print that falls short of the scriptural mandate to live in a society of this natural order that God has placed for man to be. Most men who are of the free will philosophy are more interested in creating an environment that placates something in between what is required and what is to be the goal. This is like living in a no win situation.

But I have prayed and longed for a society that worked according to the old boundaries of marriage and community. That is women staying at home and teaching the kids so that there was a philosophy of life in which the community had shared values. I think that women given to the natural role are the creators of this kind of connection. My kids were raised the old fashion way. So i am arguing that the blue print that God has set up in a very practical way has the best outcome when we have people of different orthodoxies living at peace with one another. Its impossible for men to generate this kind of peace. We were not made to be women. What i am saying is, that there is an undercurrent in our most orthodox churches of people who live in a society that has lost this other world so that we live in a dream world that is turned upside down so that the frustration level is equal to the depth of teaching and it is the nexus of a coldness that permeates the worship of Gods people. I do not think we can take these things litely.

We were warned in the late 60s and early 70s that our education of our children would have a dramatic effect on the level of worship and the kind of attendance to orthodox churches. Now we are 30 plus yrs later and we are seeing the effects of this strife that we face as a result of these things having to be a personal anxiety toward one another and the world. We are seeing love wax cold.

I raised my children in a community that was naturally given to peace. There was not much disunity among those who had different views of faith. I think we have this backwards today. We are more interested in orthodoxy than we are to reteach the divine order of creation. We love our orthodoxy in a very dysfunctional society. And that the dysfunction is not generally from how we were raised but by the kind of society we create in our families. I think we are dealing with living among scorpions and snakes in this kind of society.
