Ps 9 7 The LORD reigns forever;
he has established his throne for judgment.
8 He will judge the world in righteousness;
he will govern the peoples with justice. "

God created man by His eternal word. We are taught that Gods word was breathed out. The breath of God creates and brings life to His creation. Although His word is written down for our edification yet it is Gods eternal voice speaking and upholding the existence of all things. God emanates the law, covenants, statutes, decrees, curses, and promises in the reality of time.

And the Psalmist is teaching that God created man to show forth His glory. Man is the glory of God. But when man fell into sin, his gifts were reduced and he was cast out of the kingdom of God which was the garden. Mans sin brought death and destruction into the creation. In rendering man powerless, God had to establish His kingdom once again by the Substitution of Christ. Christ had to become a Man , perfectly obey the law and be the Substitute for man in receiving the punishment for sin in order to restore man to his original glory.

When the Psalmist speaks of Gods judgements it is in the context of His eternal justice being satisfied by the Substitution of Christ. Man then is restored to that original glory be grace alone. The Psalmist teaches that the kingdom of God is contained in Himself. It is successful because God satisfied the demands of the law that governs all reality. His government is always successful because salvation is in God alone.

When God judged the creation, the proof of His beauty and glory was cursed. God had created man as the trophy of His creation. He established a relationship of blessing man. The more that God blessed man the more he shined forth the beauty and the glory of God. But after the fall God had to once again reestablish the relationship of blessing by substitution. In salvation man is once again Gods trophy who shows for His beauty.

When we are saved we are exalted as co heirs with Christ as God is renewing all things. How can a sinner be acceptable to the perfect law that rises up to the standard of Gods attributes of faithfulness and righteousness? He must share in the perfect identity by Substitution. In order for man to be restored to the glory of God all of his acceptance is based upon God establishing authority and order in His word. So the Governor of all kingdoms is on display by showing His faithfulness and justice in the success of pronouncing His law, covenants,statutes, curses, decrees and promises. As God ordered all things in eternity past by His law,covenants etc, so now He upholds and renews all things in this revelation. The revealed word of God is a gift to man in order to argue for God to establish His eternal kingdom promised to us by His covenant word. He has put Himself on display.

The Psalmist is saying that God has established His kingdom in Himself. He has prevented the success of all opposition by pronouncing death upon anyone who opposes His kingdom. If God were dependent upon anything outside of Himself then He would subject Himself to working pragmatically. In other words if there were any power who was equal to God then He would not be sovereign in His judgements. God had to reverse the curse by the curse of His law. He has contained sin and corruption by turning it upside down. In Gods kingdom the servants are exalted and the powerful are cursed. God upholds His law in order to show forth His trophies to the world.
